I just wanted to share this chapter of Charles Eisenstein's seminal work, the Ascent of Humanity

It explains how our present money contributes to the breakdown of community by making people anonymous and replaceable part of a machine. The implication is that to build back community we need to rely less on money for our goods and services.
Kudos to Eisenstein, who puts all his writing in the public domain for free.

Ascent of Humanity is a great
Ascent of Humanity is a great book. I find the long context very inspiring, and a help not to get sucked into the minutiae of new money system designs. I really think he is on to something with the idea of rediscovering the gift. No surprise that he lived outside 'the West' for many years and saw another way to be.
